Hotazel Manganese Mines

Hotazel Manganese Mines (Pty) Ltd (“HMM”), located in the Kalahari Basin in the Northern Cape Province of Southern Africa, operates two manganese mines – Wessels (underground) and Mamatwan (open-caste).

The Samancor BEE transaction was implemented in 2008 with Matasis appointed as the lead partner in Ncab Resources which in turn owns 7% of HMM.

Matasis is actively involved in HMM, with Manne Dipico serving as a board member. Matasis role includes interacting with various stakeholders including the DMR and communities surround the mine.
